The symposium series ON LOOKING is an interdisciplinary platform promoting dialogue and exchange around the complex topic of fine art editions inviting scholars, artists, curators, art critics and professionals on an international scale.

Each symposium, born from an open-ended discussion, offers a unique space to discuss current issues such as questions of art history, art theory, visual media, aesthetics, artist research, and curatorial criteria.

ON LOOKING aims are to formulate clear positions and to re-evaluate traditional definitions, meanings, and practices of canonisation in order to discover and define new avenues in scholarship and artistic practices.
